Hi. Thanks for visiting my website. The site was created as a home base for the Summer 2009 EDTEC541 projects I will be creating over the course of the term.

After having earned my BA in International Security and Conflict Resolution (and a Minor in Philosophy), I stepped into the world of computer hardware repair. As I progressed in the field, I found myself needing to teach more and more things to more and more people. Having a background in technology, the nuts and bolts of teaching computer stuff to people came easily. But organizing the whole thing started to make me wonder if there might be some kind of overarching theory behind just making websites and handouts. Well, it turns out there is.

I like to explore new technologies and as such, I've become interested in programming in Ruby and Perl. I like Ruby better. It's a little more user-friendly. What other language lets you make statements like:

puts "hey " * 3

...and gets "hey hey hey" out of it? Neat, huh?
